Way to decrease Way Lubes Cycle

I noticed that the Bijur lubricator is going through about an 1/8" (measuring from side of holding compartment)amount of Mobil Vactra Oil No2 per 10 hrs of operation of the CNC. Is this a normal amount? seems like alot to me.

the machine should use 3 cc's per cycle of the way lube tank which is about 27 minutes the parameter is set to 108000 which is 1/50 of a second. this is if the axis are moving or the spindle is turning.

    Serviceman,
Thanks for the response. So if I want to decrease the timing of the pump cycling the lube for the ways, I can increase the time? Thanks

no i'm not sure why you would want to change this parameter it is set for the gearing in the bijur tank. the only reason you would want to change the parameter is if you bought a lube pump with a different cycle time.

That parameter is to make sure that the pressure switch changes state within that time frame or you will get an alarm, If it holds pressure for to long it believes the system may be plugged. The Lube pump motor is on only when the axis are moving (or Spindle) and is always going. You can't change the amount that is pumped by a parameter. I definately don't suggest changing the amount.
