Setting 51 on Toolroom Lathe

chaned the feed hold override on my toolroom lathe but I still have to hold the button to run the chuck full speed even with the cover shut, is there another setting?

Yes you set the paper clamp over the button holding it depressed like I showed in the picture I posted.

Which is why I use the clamp; I could not find any other way to make the machine run.

Parameter 57, Last Parameter on Right Side, set to 0. Spindle door hold overide? Should work. Still will need to turn of Setting 51 everytime but you wont have to hold the switch.

I do with a small metal sheet on my TM-01 , I don`t use this stupid doors. ( some times maybe )

i've seen too many law suits to tell anyone how to override safety features.

I had a TM-1 and setting 51 didn't do squat until the tech changed one of the parameters. After that setting 51 was the first thing I did every morning after the powerup/restart button.

I've seen OSHA write fines for machine guards that were OSHA certified guards. Said that they were not sufficent enough. So what the hell is the difference what you do if this is the case. Follow the rules, get fines and sued, or do not follow the so-called rules and get fined and sued. When it comes down to it, if you have more than the jerk suing you then you are a target for theft weather you like it or not and when you have a govenment organization with no one watching them then you get robbed (fined) even when you follow the rules in the book. Change setting 51 and the door hold override (57). Use a paper clip if you like. Dont go into business for yourself if you cannot handle getting robbed.
