| We have been having random tool changer issues with our 1999 VF-2 The tool changer thinks it has changed the tool but does not move. It brings the wrong tool into the part and CRASH things go bad. Can someone point me in the right direction this weekend? I have to get this thing going. We have replaced the switches on the changer. Help |

| Thanks a bunch to all that have posted for the pointers . It turns out that the switch that looks at the geoneva mechinism had a break in it. It was actually counting twice once in a while. We replaced the cable, used setting 7 to turn off the parameter protection and reset the tool change position and spindle orientation just for good measure. Then we went on to the switch. We swapped switches with the #1 tool switch and the problem stayed. We rewired [hotwired] the geoneva switch and that worked. We made it better by routing the cable through the top of the box. It looks much better and puts less stress on the wire. Thanks Again! |
