94 Haas VF-1. The work light plug connector is getting extremely hot where it connects to the board. There is a wire coming from the main power board, which plugs into another control board and suplies 12 volts for the work light switch and work light. The wire plug coming from the main power board gets hot enough it will start to melt the plug on the ned that plugs into the control board. Im not sure if the plug just has a bad connection and is causing to much resistance or what the heck is going on. Is there anything i should check for? Is this a sign that something else is getting ready to go out? |

| Heating is a sign of resistance, not good. At 12v, any significant wattage is going to result in a fair amount of current, so any small resistance has a significant effect. I would try and wire up direct where possible and also try to eliminate plugs and sockets. M. |

| Open the lamp housing and check for corrosion, rusty grounds, etc.
