so, this morning i turn on the power to my tm-1 -reset, powerup/restart and i get "error 103 x servo error" then i give the connections a visual inspection and nothing seems out of place, and wasn't loose or dirty. i turn the power off and then back on and starts up fine? my question is, is this the beginning of something bad or is there something i need to be doing? i had an error on the y axis the other day but it was just the proximity switch had gotten some coolant and a chip on it. (the current pail of valcool is nastier and stickier than the last...) it just finished the warm up program so i guess i'll keep running it. any insight is appreciated. --phil

| I had this problem too on our Mini Mill. It did it for a couple of days, so I called our HFO. They came out and looked at it and couldn't figure out what was causing it. After playing with connections, trying a different board, even different amps. He put it all back together and it has been fine ever since, with the original running gear back in place. I would say it must be a loose connection somewhere, but who knows where. The service guy was here for about 6 hours trying to figure it out. LOL. Gotta love that. Good thing it was under warranty. |

| My 2000 mini is doing this now. Throws a 217 X Phasing error at startup. then when you clear that, when you go to home the machine, it throws a 103 error. My CNC guy is comming Monday. Teh machine has 11,000 hours of power on time nad 3500 run hours. I'm gettin a little tired of repairing Haas stuff!! |

. We had a malfunction on the dorr interlock switch on an old MiniMill about five years ago. I took it off, rapped it sharply on a bench a few times and put it back. No problems since then; you just have to teach them they will get a cuff about the ears if they act up. |
