beep too loud

the beep on my control whenever you push a button just got about twice as loud for no reason i can see.
is there a setting for this?

if I understand you correctly , the loudness of this beeper you can set up manualy , locate the beeper under the controll pendant ( black wheel ) and rotate it.

I never would have found this, thank you very much.
I accidentally bumped it when reaching in the tray.
Is this in the instruction manual?

The beeper is located in the area below the control panel on the top to the right. Rotate the face of the beeper to adjust the volume. Note that the volume is louder when the door is open, that is, if you still have a door. Hope this helps.

See my response below. Yes it is in the manual. Should be in the area that has diagrams of the control panel with descriptions and functions of the individual items of the control panel.
