    Problem

We are currently running a program that we have ran numerous times before but without any alarms the spindle turns off and it keeps feeding. We thought maybe it was the program so while I was checking it we popped in another program and it did the exact same thing the spindle stopped and it kept feeding through the rest of the program.

We put a new guy on our machine last night and we are thinking he might have changed a setting we don't know about.

Does anyone know of a setting or possible fix to this proplem?

    Anything is greatly appreciated.

    Tazzer:

Dry run the machine so that there is no material to damage anything.

Run the program mutiple times and determine if the failure occurs at exactly the same point in the program. If it appears to be the same point then make lookahead have a value of 1. Note: lookahead set to zero means inhibit lookahead. Now single step the program in the region of the problem and determine the instruction where the problem occurs.

If the failure point is not repeatable, then it is probably not program related. But this is not a guarantee it is not program related.
