We have 3 haas VF-3 with AB trunnions and high speed look ahead. We run large 2-4 gig 5 axis programs that are drip-fed through the TCP port. Sometimes when we are doing a full 5 axis cut there looks to be data starvation and the machine starts to move jerky. There have been discussions about cutting incremental and other discussions about eliminating the decimal point. Has anyone ever done either of these item to increase program throughput on a modern machine? Does anyone have an opinion one way or the other about this methods? Thanks Mike |
