alarms 102 104 109 Machine will jog fine in Z and X but will only move -in y.+y causes these alarms even if you only move in.001.Y axis is now in the middle of its travel.We swapped x y cables at the controll and the problem moved to x axis. Last edited by TGriz; 10-02-2006 at 08:42 AM. |

| 061002-1206 EST USA TGriz: On rereading your post it appears that that you only switched the cables at one end, the motor control end. On a brush type motor you have just two wires to the armature, in addition there are encoder wires. On a brushless motor more wires are required for the motor. Brush type motors were used until about 95-96. On a brush type motor it is it is unlikely to be a power cable problem, but could be the encoder cable, also possibly the encoder. The Y-axis cable is the easiest experiment to try with a substitute cable. . |

| You are saying the X axis servo amp drives the Y axis okay when you swap cables but the X axis now driven by the Y axis servo amp shows the problem that was first seen on the Y axis? This sounds like your Y axis sevo amp is faulty. I think it would be unusual for a cable fault to affect one direction but not the other. |
