This sounds a bit like a problem we had on our HL1. There is a cover plate on top of the housing for the servo and turret lock. Inside there is a coupling between the servo and the indexing mechanism. According to what the Haas tech told us this coupling is intended to slip if overloaded; it does not have any keyways just a split collar that clamps. When ours was realigned he loosened the coupling and indexed the turret; only the servo moved of course. Then he did something to unclamp the turret and moved it so it was at the position corresponding to where the servo was. Clamped the turret again and tightened the collar. He also did things to make the invisible axis visible; the turret servo is the A axis I think and there is a parameter to make it visible to the handle jog.
Maybe someone else can come in and give more information I have run out of what I managed to catch while watching him. |
