    VF2 drive boards

    Had a a drive board go down today cause power serge yesterday and
    loss power for a hour. so i think i know the cause . ordered one will have it
    early tommorrow. someone in the area lost a spindle drive same cause ouch big bucks.
    Does anyone know if anyone repairs them i would like to have a spare one.

    Thaks for the info but Precision Zone Inc. will only do spindle drives .
    looking for someone who can repair the axis drive boards .

    I was hoping Precision might give you some suggestions if they did not do these.

    Your problem might be one or more failed output FETs that you might replace yourself, or have a local electronics repair facility do it.

    Try the following search on Google

    electronic repair of cnc servo driver boards

    "of" does not do anything but just reads better.

    I found a place that sells the toshiba transistor part #gt50j301 I
    am going to replace them and also the 2 large capasetors I will keep you informed

    I forgot which one but usually one of the larger diodes go out on these drivers. Will ask the tech that "knows" next time I see him. (might be awhile)

    I thought HAAS did some sort of core exchange on those sorts of parts. Or it is more pratical just to fix them? What does a drive cost?? From HAAS right?
