Anyone out there successfully using a manual chuck on a Haas SL-10? I saw an A-5 adapter plate in the J&L catalog that should work with my 6" 6 jaw set tru chuck. Other than G50 S2000, do I need to be concerned with anything else? |

| Very clever, Geoff! What happened to the hydraulic chuck? I have an unusually odd mix of jobs right now - need some quick accuracy without messing with soft jaws every half hour. My hard jaws have excessive runout, and I don't even have a mig welder to build up my soft jaws. |

| How about Ericson Style Master Jaws & Pads... I have orded them from Collins Machine in the past... ( http://collinsmachine.com/1520EB98E0...421AC9B0FA.asp )... Simple and cost effective. Cheers,

| I run an SL30 and I mount a 6 inch manual chuck in my hydraulic chuck with dedicated soft jaws. That way I have a way of indicating a part by adjusting the manual chuck. Of course you have to mount it so that the key can be inserted and used, |
