I'm looking for some advice on Indexers. I'm using a home built one right now and getting sticker shock at the price on the real good servo ones from Haas. Any suggestions where to pick up an accurate one without breaking the bank? Perhaps a used one that's not abused? I mean, I'll shell out some bucks, but 5k+ is a bit for my small job shop. Any thoughts? |

| I've had pretty good luck with Matt Newman at Platinum CNC. You can see whatever he has available for rotary tables on www.machinetools.com and also his contact info is there. It wouldn't hurt to give him a call, so that he knows what you're looking for, as he seems to be able to come up with the stuff.

| I like the HA5C, I see he's got a used one listed for $3500. What's the durability on those? I assume it's "forever" but have no experience with it. I could use other rotary tables too, I'm open to suggestion. It doesn't need to do much other than being accurate and can take the environment. I don't have a HAAS Mill so I guess I'd need a controller which puts it about $4500 bucks. Which is about the top end I'd like to spend. I'll prolly ring the guy tomorrow. I know I'm asking alot for little, but hey, we can all wish, right ? |
