    VR-11

I have a VR-11 that is giving me fits on tool changes. When the carousal swings out and the tool is changed on the head up side of getting the new tool i get the following alarm codes 125,120,291 and 114. It also pops breaker CB4 labeled solenoid.

First off two of the alarms have to due with your air psi. If your your air psi is not dropping during a tc then your sensor may be bad. As for the breaker tripping your turret motor may be shorted. The turret motor should ohm out to 21 ohms leg to leg if its a bison and 50 ohms leg to leg if its a bodine.

Actually I had other issues on another machine that were more important. But the tool change issue has worked itself out. I am still monitoring it but not a problem in week now.

It turned out to be water in the air line causing the solenoid to malfunction ....
