haas vf2b 1994 175 ground fault at tool change

I have an old 94 vf2 b. I just replaced the x motor and x card and cable. That is all working fine. Kept getting ground fault alarm on tool change. Disconnected shuttle motor and it didn't alarm. Replaced with new one and getting the same result. Could it be any thing to do with parameters? Or limit switch? I swapped relays and same thing. Can't see any fried resistors on the board either.

Check the wiring that goes to the shuttle motor. Original versions had a flex conduit that would move in/out with the tool changer and would become brittle and crack over time exposing the inner wiring. Once exposed, the inner wiring will become brittle and cracked as well.

It could be when the shuttle is out everthing is fine, but as soon as it moves, one of the wires ground out causing your alarm.

    Good luck!

It just barely moves. I can reset and do it again until the in limit opens. Then I get shutle fault. Should I pull the cable and check pins for continuity. R there any pins that should beep. I've got a little down syndrome in electronics so don't leave anything out.
