    Brushed or Brushless vintages

What year did Haas switch to brushless servos? I am specifically curious about 1995 VF's. I do not have any experience with any Haas units from the 90's so any pros or cons you guys can throw into the mix would be appreciated.

1996 was the year they switched to brushless. I own a brushed machine (1995) and I will say its been great. No issues with the servos.

Ya, I think it was 96 when they started, my 96 is brushless, but I think you will find some of that year as either or.

I do not know of any real operational difference. The brushless motors may be easier to maintain, as they do not have brushes to put dust in the housings, but the brushes themselves are cheap and easy to replace, when you get to them. They last a long time.

I would not turn down a good deal on a machine just because it is brushed.
