    Machine doing a hick up

I have a 1997 Haas VF3 with 4th Axis rotary table, just purchased recently and already had repairs putting in a new servo and vector drive. I make sunglasses and when tool number 1 (3/8 em) and 2 (v cutter for lens groove acme threading tool) make a pass around where the lens goes, it makes an unnecessary hick up. Its supposed to make a perfect round shape close to an egg shape, but it leaves a little half moon divot before the tools exits. I got the program from another shop who says they used the same machine and program for 10 year and never got this problem. They did get a new machine later that was a 2004 with 10k rpm.

I have tried replacing the tool, and played with parameter 104, but the problem didn't go a way. I slowed the machine down to 30% and that helped a little on tool one that makes the passage way cut out for tool two to come in and make the lens groove. Tool two is the groove tool and it digs in too deep just in the corner from some weir reason. I compared the parts to the recent maker and my part and there is such a difference with these two divots. (Frustrated) PS. I am new at this and any help is appreciated!

Post your code and also explain the mark better, or better yet, post a picture.

The machine only does what it is told to do. Maybe a fixturing problem?

If its in the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, or 9:00 try checking your backlash. Mine was way over compensated and causing little marks in the quadrants where switching occurs.
