The Battery is located on the processor in the back cabinet. You'll have to clip on a good battery while you solder in the replacement. Before you do this back up you params, settings, and programs twice.

I am new to Haas. My machine is comming up with a batt error. Is it located like all others, behind the screen on the button panel? Do not turn the machine off to replace it?? Someone please answere today if possible.

Please address me as Haas Noob or rookie I have worked on Fanuc, and Hurco (I know dirty name in the Haas forum). I am seeing nothing like a batt. on this board (top left corner in the back). Is it square, or round? Is there a way to get a photo or something I am at a loss here. I have replaced batt on the others and you have to do them under power. Sorry for being ignorant on Haas. I am still on baby steps on these. Thank you for the help in advance.

Does anyone know why Haas isn't using a mimimum amount of non-volatile flash memory instead of a battery to hold parameters, settings, etc?
