Thanks you for answering . I already pressed the home button but nothing changed. Could it be that the preowner ( i have the machine since 2 weeks) has had an usb drive connected and the device manager wants to connect to this drive?
Best regards
Silly question, but do you have a USB drive actually inserted in the control when you're doing all this?
Yes i have a USB drive in the slot. I already tried a second one.
I found out that at the starting procedure for Short time the notice: USB timeout appears. So i think he Wants to load a file from an usb drive that is not connected any more.
Might be a silly suggestion but make sure your USB drive is formatted right. Haas wants them to be FAT32 format, most current operating systems use NTFS.
hit the cancel button on bottom of key pad.
make sure you dont have tooo much crap on the USB drive or alot of folders as it takes a while to load.
2 gig ones work best IF they are not filled. 10gig and up work also BUT they take a long time to load.
you machine may not read anything more than 2 gig cards. the 2009 ones do.
I never formated them I use them straight out of the box.
My 2006 will read any flash drive (size) that I put in it.

My HFO guy said older machines wouldnt read anything bigger than a 2 gig card. but he told me mine wouldnt read them either and it does
I know mine with read a usb hard drive with no problems, but its slow populating.
For external hard drives, they sometimes need more power. Try connecting the supplied power cable or using a Y-USB cable that has an additional USB power cable.
Thanks,

I have spoken with HAAS and it seems to be problem with the processor. It has to be changed.
