    Using Probe with Multiple Offsets

I'm using the probe to find the location of a hole. There are 3 features that use the same hole as a datum but they all have different critical Z depths. What I'm doing now is probing the hole three times using G55 G56 G57 work offsets. Then I'm going to each pad and doing a Z depth probe. All this is programmed in to limit operator involvement. Is there anyway in the program that I can avoid probing the hole the extra two times. Maybe a code to take it's current position and inputs it into G56 and G57?

    Probe your G54 bore, then:

    G103 P1
    #5241=#5221 (G55 X = G54 X)
    #5242=#5222 (G55 Y = G54 Y)
    #5261=#5221 (G56 X = G54 X)
    #5262=#5222 (G56 Y = G54 Y)
    G103

Continue on to probing your three Z depths, then the main program.

Attached is the OMP40 manual, assuming that's what you're using.

EDIT: Holy hell did I screw that up! I read your post to have G54, G55 and G56. Whoops. Just alter the variables used with what you find in your machine manual.

Thanks a lot man. I knew there had to be a better way. I'll give it a try on Monday and I'll let you know how things went.
