    Would a Chick OneLok fit in a MDC-500?

    Hey CNCzone

    First of all, I'm new to this forum, so please bare with me if I placed this topic wrong!
    But here goes my 'problem';
    The company where I work has purchased a HAAS MDC-500 pallet mill.
    Since its scheduled to arrive in late January we're looking for some workholding solutions.
    And since we are machining quite a lot of different sizes, we'll look for a workholding solution which will fit the best for us.
    After looking around on the internet, and seen how easy the Chick OneLok vise is operated, and the function of it - then it seemed pretty perfect for our machine.
    EDIT: I found the dimensions for the One-Lok, and the vise itself measures: 432mm(17.01 in) in length.

    Altho; I cant seem to find anywhere, any information if it would fit in a Haas MDC-500, all I can find is the operating area of the MDC-500, which is 356mm on Y-axis.
    So what I'm looking for is anyone who have experience with this combination, or have the opportunity to measure the absolut maximum allowed distance between the rotary part, and the doors. Without having it to interfer when doing a pallet change ofcourse

    I sincerely hope for help from this community, over and out!

    //Lars Hansen

    Hello there, and thanks for the answer!
    I was kinda looking for a little more specific answer, like a measuring showing it can fit - or even better; A picture of it.

    Because, its actually quiet alot of money, not just peanuts

    I don't have any machines in assembly with the sheet-metal on it. Here are 2 pics, plenty of clearance.

    Hello again
    Thanks for the new response, specially the pictures - It seems like theres space, tho what I can find were that the vise would reach 18mm into the room-seperator, which would be hard to tell on those pictures.
    Guessing theres no other option than making a measure when we get it
