Haas Smart Amps!

Just for my edumacation!?!?!

I have a spare Haas 30amp Smart amp for back-up. A friend has a Haas mill with A/C servos. I am I right in assuming that the amps are different? I have never seen anyone mention a/c amps or servos before.

It is a friend's machine, so I will try. But, mainly I wanted to know if there is a difference between drives for A/C and D/C. I do not recall ever seeing an A/C servo machine.
