    About to switch shops

    Going from working on a TM1-P (2009) to a VF-5 (2001), a OM-2 (2006), and a VF-OE (1997). Anything major I should know?

    Thanks

Not really. The layout of the control is the same and all the functions are the same. The display(s) will be different and you will not have as much information on the screen an the older machines whe a cycle is running. The rapids are going to be faster so remember to use the override when proving a program.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Glad to hear that, its what I thought. The bigger thing for me now is getting up to speed on MasterCAM , right now I use OneCNC.

Sounds like you'll have no problem going from one machine to the larger machine.
As far as the CAM, my advice is forget the old one. I've taught new guys and it always annoys me when they keep harping on "but we did it this way on CAMxxxx" or "it was easier on the other one". Learn the new one. You always use what the company has purchased.
