    DNC on new VM3

We just had a new VM3 placed in the same spot as an old VM3. All we did was unplug the DNC cable from the old machine and plugged it in to the new machine. We made sure all of the settings matched then we where able to send programs to the machine, but are unable to send programs back from the machine. We are using Multi-DNC software, and comtrol switch.

When we went from 2 older VF-3 machines to 2 VF-4s we had a little problem too. All we did to get it to work is to shut down and restart the machine and the PC. Also, we had to set the PC to receive the program before sending it from the machine. With the older machines we could do either one first.
Apparently I don't know anything, so please verify my suggestions with my wife.

As Pondo said, try restarting both sides.

Not sure what all Haas tweaked, or why, regarding the RS232 interface, but the new versions definitley have some slight differences in the way it communicates.

    Good luck!
