I have a 1996 VF-2. Yesterday it threw a fault, 233 Jog Handle Cable Fault, and it crashed a center drill into a piece of aluminum. No big deal, cleared it and it worked fine.
Today it threw the fault again, but no crash just shut off the servos. This time just after I was jogging the table. Cleared it again and found no problem. Then a few minutes later it threw the fault while running a program.
The cable has not been harmed of moved, so could this be the jog handle encoder going bad?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, the jog encoder could be going bad. The encoder cable from the SKBIF to the Mocon may also be failing.
Thanks,
