Need Help!- Coolant Level Sensor TM-2

Can I hook this up?

I bought a coolant tank/pump from a shop that only runs carbon on their VF-2.

The tank has a sensor connected to what looks to be an RJ45? (phone jack) plug on it.

Can I incorporate this into my TM-2 to shut off machining if the coolant gets low?

what serial number is your machine? It will not alarm out your machine. It will just blink on the screen

you will need to order a 32-8361 that is the part number for the cable the float hooks up to. Then you have a couple of par to set the coolant height up.

I was told by my local HFO to disconnect the sensor and change a parameter in the control in our VF2SS. He said that the older machines, (ours is a 2002), had issues with the float shorting out and causing one of the control boards in the machine to die. It has been a couple of months now, so I am not sure whether it was the processor board, or the MOCON board. In either case, not a cheap fix. I do not know if that is true or not.

Never the less, I turned it off and left it unplugged. Being a small shop, we cannot afford to have problems like that.
