Need Help!- 1990 haas VF1 service manual

Hello,
I have a 1990 haas vf1 with a control overheat alarm 122..I am looking for a repair manual for this older machine???

when does this alarm happen. this alarm points me to the regen assy on top of your control box

It has no set time it will do it.. sometimes it will run all day other times I can barly get it upat all

Actually on a 1990 model the Regen is inside the cabinet.. But you knew that..

And I'd have a look at the input voltage..as that could cause a 122 alarm too..

Might be the taps on the transformer are mis-matched to the actual voltage..

lets start out with checking the ohms on your regen (yes in side the control) the single short one should be 50 oms and the two tall ones are 10 ohms

Where are you located. I have the same machine and a manual, you could make a copy... I am in Upland,CA

I have a fix for this... had the same issue. You need a voltmeter and know how to use it around high voltage that can kill you (160 V DC). Let me know if you are sure you want to proceed.
