Does anyone have any experience in removing the metal way covers on the X, Y and Z axis and replacing them with some type of sealed boots to prevent any particulate from getting in these areas? When I called HAAS they said they don't offer boots like this but said they know of people that mill graphite and other fine particulates that have modifed their machines with aftermarket boots (and positive pressure setups in some cases) to seal these areas. I am hoping there are others on here that have already done the conversion and can offer info on the parts and steps it takes. Thanks. |

| Hi I can't help but please let me know what you come up with as I have been thinking of the same as I want to do a bit of specialised grinding and I was worried about the grit getting under the covers How do you like the office mill? Rob |
