Renishaw OTS Probe Orientation

Hi Guys,

I was surprised to find out that Haas do not ship Renishaw programing manual with the machine.
I've done plenty of probing before on Fanuc machines.
I need to move the OTS tool probe to the left side of the table and I need to change the orientation so the probe is along the Y axis.
Now , I know I need to change a setting in the OTS setting macro. I just don;t know which setting to change since there is no manual.

Has anyone done this on a Haas machine?

I think that what you are proposing is only possible with a wired probe.
We started to do the same thing on a wireless probe machine and realized that anything but the factory orientation points the tool probe IR transciever away from the stationary tranciever.

I have always found Renishaw customer service to be very helpful. You should even be able to download the manuals straight from their website.

I've got the programming manual for the OTS.

If you want to move the OTS and change orientation - you need to
change
#[ #161 + 36 ]= 2.
in program O9376

accordingly . In my case I want the probe along the Y axis, stylis facing the operator. So the value will be =1.0
