Question HA5C set up question

On my 2008 vf-2, on the settings page, is HA5CB for the brush or brush-less model?

I have a brush model HA5C and the converter box for the machine but don't know which rotary to select on the settings page.

Thanks in advance.

I use HA5CBL for my brushless, so that sounds correct.

If you are using a controller and not going directly to the machine, I'm not sure that it makes any difference. The controller is running the 5C unit, not the VF-2 itself.

Sorry for the confusion. The converter box is a brusless to brush converter. My vf-2 has brushless 4th axis drives and I'm hooking my brush rotary to the machine so I can control the 4th axis thru my part program. I shoulda been clearer in the o.p.

My brushless indexer has model #HA5CB stamped on its ID badge, that is the one I use.

If you try it and get an overheat alarm, then try the other one.
Not joking, that is how we found out which one to use in our VF-4
