    Compressed Air Filter/Lubrication Recommendations

    Hi everyone,

Pretty new at CNCing... got a great deal on a 12-year old HS1-RP with almost no hours on it (sat at a college and was never turned on). HAAS took it back, cleaned it up, and delivered it. We're about ready to start making parts but want to put a regulator on the compressed air before coming to the machine.

I'm certainly curious to see everyone's recommendations on the filter systems... but what I'm really curious about is whether we need to buy one that has the lubrication part to it.

Do CNC machines like having lubricated air (like air tools do) or is it better to not lubricate the line?

    Thanks!

Basically just clean and dry, the rest is handled by the machine.

Have fun with your new machine.
