I've been looking to options for a bag filter system to put under the coolant drain from the machine enclosure. I'm having trouble finding anything pre-made to use for what I have in mind. The closest I found was a 100 micron filter bag for a 5 gallon bucket, the opening is large enough but I don’t think 100 microns is small enough. (??) So I was considering just buying the material and making my own "bags". It will be easy enough to make a little rack to sit on top of the coolant tank under the drain. Anyway my question is what size micron material should if look for? 99.9% of all the work I currently have planned is 6061 aluminum so I'm wondering what would be the best size to catch all the fine material but still have enough flow so the coolant doesn’t overflow out of the bag. I know a lot of guys are using swamp cooler pads and such, but I wanted to go a different route. |

| I am using 10-25 micron bags for my tumbler setup and the only thing that gets through is what dries to be a powder the consistency of flour. Take a look at this chart. and see if it helps. Filter Bags | Micron Size Comparison Chart | Clearstream Filters Inc. |
