Our TM1 runs flawlessly most of the time. The intermittant problem we have is a G54 Y coordinate shift after a machine startup. We perform a Power Up reset and occasionally end up having to reset the G54 Y coordinate as it is off by .200 - .300. We assume that the problem is due to a Y position machine zero sensor problem, any suggestions as to where to start troubleshooting/ looking ? We don't have any service manuals for the machine as it was purchased used. Haas service is a 3hr drive from our shop and not a viable option at this point. Thanks Chris |

| I believe that on the TM-1 then the home switch is on the left side of the machine, below the Y axis rails, in a white metal box. Your problem may be as simple as chips in that box, or on the metal tab that triggers the switch. Our TM-3 had Y axis issues which were traced to an overagressive cleaning that bent the metal tab. Hopefully it's no more complex than that. Frederic |
