| Im using a VF1 and trying to wright a program with mastercam X5. Im useing a 1/4 endmill and a 5/16 drill, for the same program and having trouble puting them together, should i be using G54 and G55, and when i git done cuting with the 1/4 endmill and switch to the 5/16 drill, its telling me that my Z is overtraviling O ya i put the 1/4 endmill as G54 and 5/16 as G55 HELP PLEASE |

| Post your program here so we can see what's wrong. If there is only 1 part then you should only need one work coordinate. Usually if you have 2 vises on the table with 2 parts, you use G54 for the 1st part and G55 for the 2nd part. |

| What DC says is right - you shouldn't be using different work offsets for different tools. Work offsets affect work pieces. G54=piece1 G55=piece2 etc. Tools have their own offset page. They get a "height" offset and a diameter offset. You need to be calling out each tool specifically - - within the G43 line. Post your program. This is beginner stuff.
