I have a VF8/50 and a VF3/50YT. Is the spindle a sealed unit and gets no maintenance on these machines? I found a dipstick on the side of the z axis head under a 6 bolted cover that I take is for the gearbox. Fill is on the top,check is on the side and drain is on the bottom.(for gearbox) The repair manual covers both lathes and mills and is confusing at times. Thanks Dave  |
