| Check the power supply that operates all the electronic stuff. We had a lathe that would just fade away and stop running and that is what it was, a faulty power supply.

| I am assuming that he servos, fans and such are still on but the machine stops and the screen goes blank. Check the low voltage power supply. Fairly easy fix if that is it. Mike

That 1999 machine used a CRT for displays. The fading away of the screen is almost certinaly a loss of power to the CRT. The CRT gets 120VAC that could be intermittent but it sounds more like a low voltage power supply inside the CRT that is getting hot and shutting down. Replacement CRTs are available and changes made to them about 10 years ago made the low voltage power supply last longer. |

| I have repaired some problem. I have found that MOCON Power supply cable was broken. On our problem MOCON power inside supply cable (Red coloured) line was broken. Please check the cable.

| I agree with Tim. If any screen goes blank because of inside screen problem, there is high voltage of driver is broken "High voltage transformer and its tranzistor". If a CRT screen has this kind of problem, it is never open again or after three or four times it would be never opened again. In my opinion the problem here is different. CPU is resetted for a while after working. Power supply connections of the control boards has to be checked. Best regards
