Unhappy help with fault on vf2

hi does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing a x limit switch fault whilst the machine is rapiding its fine when feeding in g1 but as soon as you rapid it faults i have replaced the limit switch ,and i have had a look at the encoder to see if was loose but seems fine ,
so any further ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance,

What exactly is the alarm you are getting?

Quite possibly the encoder as mentioned but need a little more specifics as to the alarm.

X limit switch while rapid

The X limit switch alarm is a result of only one thing - that is the home switch circuit was sensed or "opened" at any time after the machine originally found the zero position. This is not likley the encoder unless the encoder data was so bad the axis has moved to a position where the home switch was triggered. This is more often caused by a broken wire leading to that home switch or by accumulated chips running into the home switch. If the encoder data was bad, you would have gotten an encoder alarm long before this.

Donkey

Above? Below? Before?
This is still much more likely a case of installing a replacement motor that was not needed and the service technician forgot to tell the customer that the technician also cleaned a lot of chips out from around the home switch.

we don't bother much with the haas technicians we had already replaced the home switch long before i posted the problem on here
we only replaced the encoder on the off chance that this was the fault because we had tried everything else
after replacing the encoder the machine has run perfectly since
