| Ok, we have 4 machines (VF3, Super Mini Mill 2, & 2 Super Mini Mills). Up until last week they all ran off the network just fine. Suddenly, all at once they disconnected. None of the settings on the machines have changed and the only thing to my knowledge that has changed was we installed a switch for the network (it's auto-configured, the only setting that has changed on it has been to allow web control.). However, the rest of the network is working FINE on the switch. Even when I plug one of the machines directly into the router (it has signal) still nothing. I can see from the switch management console that 2 of the machines have signal, and the other two (the older ones) do not. They were setup to use DHCP, but as an experiment I assigned one an unused IP to see if I could ping it on the network - no go. Any ideas why this happened or how to fix it? I can't think of any setting on the network or switch that could be causing JUST the Haas machines to disconnect... >me <rest of shopThanks in advance! |

| I have had this happen several times over the years with our machines. Here are some things to try. Try re-loading all the network settings on the machine. Try direct connection to the PC with a crossover cable (no switch). Try one machine at a time through the switch with everything else disconnected. Try this from our HFO for re-setting the network to default. Re-setting the Ethernet settings. 1 turn setting 7 to off Go to alarms page enter DEBUG 2 go to the position page & scroll down till you see LL DEBUG screen. Type CB AE03FF 72 (include spaces) Press enter twice, you will see nothing happen. Do not do anything for 2 mins then cycle the power. The Ethernet settings will be restored to HAAS factory settings. Go to alarms page enter DEBUG We always use a static IP address. Hope this helps. Andrew

| Setting 7 (on or off) unlocks parameters and allows you into debug mode. Andrew.

| I will post what happens. I got as far as finally being able to ping the machines and they connect to each other (I think). They all have the same files, but I can't find those files on our server. I even created a directory on the machine called FindMe, but didn't have any luck. Thank you! |

| Yeah that caused a minor meltdown. I bypassed the switch and FINALLY was able to get the machines to read the server so it's obviously the switch. So now I guess I have to figure out why the heck the switch isn't letting the machines through. |
