is it possible to place a password on a late 2007 controler to stop unauthorised use? we could place a padlock on the master switch, but are not allowed too. something in the startup sequence would be the way to go. have come into work last couple of days and someone on the other shift has been trying to access / use the machine. no damage done yet, but it soon will if nothing is done. just trying to keep unauthorised / un-trained people out. thanks |

| You could order the keylock for the side of the control pendant. Then in the settings, you could set it to lock-out all of the possible changes (parameters, programs, offsets, etc). Keylock the pendant at night and it'll be safer (but not totally foolproof). We have the same problem. I padlocked the machines the night they were first connected to power and lock them after use every day.

| The keylock will lock out editing so you could make a practice of putting an M30 at the top of all your programs and just deleting it when you want to run a program. With editing locked out no one would be able to run a program. An alternate if you can trace wiring and don't mind making modifications is to get any keyed switch and put it in the circuit for the power on button.

Hello, I have a Haas TM-2 that has the key lock option on the side already. However we would like to explore other options too. I would like to see if there was a option in debug mode or such that keeps track of any personnel altering parameters or programs and such. The memory lock is way to simple for unathorized personel to figure out. Also is there a way to find out when a program was last eddited and added into the memory as a way to trace the time to an individual? Thanks! |

| Instal a key switch on the pendant and wire it in series with the power on button. When the key switch is off the power on button wont power on the machine. |
