Haas Macro

Does anyone know how to enable Macro's on a Haas? It seems there is a code that must be entered...

It's easy: enter the code that enables Macros.

You highlight the macros option in parameters and with the machine in e-stop type in the unlock code for the macro option. If you do not have the code, it is machine specific so you will need to contact your dealer.

If you are cheap and have a LOT of free time, you can start from 2 and type in every number sequentially until you get it, lol. One of my dumbass ex-employees got sick of the intuitive programming screen popping up when he let the machine sit, and turned off the option when i wasnt around. Before I came back, he decided he would grab the code out of the manual and turn it back on, unfortunately for him, it wasnt in the manual and it was friday evening, so he couldnt get the code from our dealer. Fearing I'd be pissed, he sat there and typed in every number starting from 2 until he got it, haha. Luckily for him, it was only a 4 digit code. He did at least have the brains to clock out while doing it, so I didnt have to pay him for being an automated keyboard, lol.

Still funny though, and I'm amazed it worked.

On a side note, I was going to buy the high speed machining option for one of my machines a few years ago, and it was 1000 bucks, but now the same unlock code is 2000? What the hell is going on over there?

My machines came with it as a trial, and I am probably getting close to running out of trial time. It really comes in handy for 3 axis work, the machine doesnt shake as much, thats for sure..
