Haas VF-3

Does anyone have experience of Haas vf-2 or 3 milling machine? How are they?

This is the Haas section of the forum so I would say yes there is experience with them here. Browse the different threads out there and do a search if you have something specific you are interested in. If you do not find what you are looking for start a thread with a specific question as there is a lot of smart people willing to help.

I do. They are excellent.

Actually, they are the machine of choice for making custom chopper parts

I have used vfe vf2 vfo3 and have no complaints about them

The first thing to think of is what are you going to use the mill for. I had a Haas VF0E , that I bought new to use for production machining of aluminum for 2 shifts a day. It was not a heavy production machine, It would have been a great machine for a job shop doing custom parts. The memory was 1 mb and it had the floppy drive, and I could also upload programs from my cam program thru the RS232 port. For a job shop machine, go for it. For a machine to run production day in and day out, I would go for a heavier duty machine. Hope this helps

I use a vf3, vf2, vfo. love all three. I still like the umbrella tool change better
