How do I download all programs to the floppy disc at once? (VF3)

Is there a way to "copy all"?
I would like to backup all of my programs to the floppy disk at one time on a monthly basis. Since we are going to be buying a HAAS lathe soon, this is goiung to be more and more important.
Any suggestions?

I am not at my machine but I believe if you scroll down your program list the last program should be named "all" selecting that should get them all.

Geof will become famous soon enough

ntcnc is correct but you do have to put in a file name before you hit write to floppy.

The programs all copy as a long string and it can be tedious trying to separate them out if you want to copy a single program back to the machine.

Your new lathe will come with USB, which has a "backup" feature that can download all programs/settings/parameters/offsets/macros/history/key history/Advanced Tool Management values/probe variables/all

What is the procedure for doing the full backup on a usb machine? Will it backup the unlocked parameters, or will we need to re-enter the unlock codes upon reinstallation as well?

The procedure to back up 'ALL' is below:

Go to USB page
press F4
move cursor down to 'save all'
type filename but with no extension, for example BACKUP1
The machine will now save around 8 files to your USB
BACKUP1.SET (settings)
BACKUP1.PAR (parameters)
BACKUP1.OFS (offsets)
BACKUP1.VAR (macro variables)
BACKUP1.HIS (alarm history)
BACKUP1.PGM (programs)
etc

Backing up the system is easy - but using the recovery disk after memory problems should only be done by a service tech. A backup would be very useful to a service tech, so is definately worth doing.
Unlock codes are not saved in backup files - they would need to be re-entered.

Hope this helps
