| I'm guessing that you're talking about very simple parts, right? The .DXF converter is pretty limited from what I remember (we have it but, I've never used it). To answer your question: yes, it works but we rarely create parts that are simple 2D silhouettes. That forces us to hand code or use a CAM system (in our case: Mastercam).

| The DXF import function on a Haas machine was designed to replace CAD programs for 2D geometry. Some geometry may be easier to hand-code but being able to generate a tool path on an already designed part can be very helpful and efficient.
