Hi everybody, When I mill on my Haas VF-1 (model 1995) it shatters every time it changes from a G-code to another (for example from a G01 to a G02 code). I checked out the parameters but I could not find a solution. The VF-0 which we have (model 1995 but older that the VF-1) does not shatter at all and works very smooth. This shattering occurs even at low speeds. Does anybody know hot to solve this issue? Thank you. Alex |

| Hi guys, Thank you for your efforts. Ken; I looked for the 191 code but I did not find it. Where should I look for the HSM? Haastec; I do not have finish issues but I would prefer that the machine would work more smooth. It also stops when it is milling a circle and it changes from quadrant (for example from +X to /-X). | You could have a loose ball screw which would cause the issues described. If you are comfortable doing this, pull back the left X-axis way covers. With the machine in E-stop, grab the ball screw and feel for excess play. Also, if it is loose, you will see the ball screw move before the table does. If this is the case, try tightening the ball screw nut located under the gold cover plate by the motor and see if this helps your situation. Also, if you have been running this machine without issue and this problem just came up, I would highly doubt that it is a parameter issue. Good luck. |

| For HSM: Go to parameters, type "315" and press down six times.

| If you look at the G code you are running, is there a G187 line in it? Our programmers used to put that in the post after every tool change. It overrides the accuracy control (setting 85) to whatever the E value is. If you go one page down from your normal current commands screen you can see all the active codes and values as the machine runs. The E value is on the far right and all the way down. If it is not the same as your setting 85 value (.005 or so for instance) then it is being overridden. Also, are you running the program from the control or DNC?
