MTConnect Help

Hey all,

I am an engineering student doing a project on the MTConnect Standard. I have a Haas TM-1 that I am trying make MTConnect compliant and monitor remotely. When using hyperterminal, I am able to put the Qcodes in and get a valid response. However, when I run my programs, it does not seem to be working properly. It says CreateFile Failed when I connect the "agent" to the Haas Adapter program. Has anyone ran into this problem or a similar problem that might be able to give me some advice on how to solve this issue?

MTConnect sounds interesting. Is the Haas adapter program free and can it run on older controllers?

Do you have the ethernet connection on the machine?

Yes it is free off of their website. Yes, it has a Ethernet port, but the program is setup to use the Serial connection. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get some help?
