Does anyone know where I can buy iso30 tool holders with hsd pullstud for the SR-100? The manual states to only use hsd pull stud. I bought a couple Mari-Tool iso30 tool holder, but I don't think the pull stud on them are hsd so I bought some hsd pull stud, but the hsd pull stud does not fit the maritool iso30 tool holder. Thanks, John |

The SR100 has the following diagram for the ISO30 tool holder ![]() The HSD pull stud on the left will not fit into the Maritool ISO30 tool holder because the mating cylinder diameter (just above the thread) is 13mm vs 12.5mm on the original pull stud. ![]() However, base on the spec for the hsd pull stud and from my measurement of the original pull stud, the original pull stud does satisfy the dimensional requirement on the SR100 manual, ie 12mm d on top, 8mm d in the middle, and ~23.97mm in length. With the exception of the corner radius. Can I use the original pull stud instead of the hsd pull stud? The second questions is how do I grasp the ISO30-ER16 tool holder? It doesn't seem to have any physical features to grab onto, ie the ER32 has flats on the side, but the ER16 is just round. ![]() How come the ER32 tool holder taper is disjointed in the middle? I tried google but didn't find that many info on ISO30 specs. Any inputs? Thanks, John

The nut on the ER32 is common. You can get wrenches for them from a number of sources. http://www.maritool.com/Tool-Holders..._85/index.html http://www.techniksusa.com/metal/torque_chart.htm bob

"How come the ER32 tool holder taper is disjointed in the middle? I tried google but didn't find that many info on ISO30 specs. Any inputs?" I used to see that a lot in the "olden days". I believe it was a relief for better fit of the tool taper to the spindle. Don't see it much anymore, though.

As a followup, the recommendation from Maritool regarding gripping the Iso30er16 tool holder is to use a table vice with v block, wood, or copper jaws. Too bad hsd pull stud doesn't fit the Maritool iso30 tool holders. Haas recommends Techniks iso30 tool holders. http://www.techniksusa.com/wood/isosk.htm

I use one of these for my cat 40/50 toolholders. You should be able to find something similar for iso 30. http://www.industrydepot.com/DorianT...rTightener.htm
