VF- 10,000 or 12,000 is it the same motor?

VF- 10,000 or 12,000 is it the same motor?
For new machine are the only change the parameters
Same for the rapid feed from 1000 to 12000
If you know, let me know

Geof will become famous soon enough

When I was looking at the 12,000 rpm option on a VF machine I was told it was a different spindle with higher grade bearings.

I think they have a 12K 20HP Motor for the VM Moldmaker machines and the same motor on the VF series without Gearbox and the 10K option. On the VF- the Motor only run 10K about the parameters. But Attention, they have two different 12K Motors with different parameters (Lincoln/Baldor). Have a look on the label from the motors.

I think the 12K spindle, if they are same as the ones on the SS and VM, are direct drive while the 10K spindle are belt driven.

Yes, your right, but the question was only about the Motor, not for the spindle.

The 12K ones are listed as 30hp, but the non gear driven 10K ones are listed as 20hp. Are they the same motor? There are plenty of stories about how different manufacturers list their horsepower rating. . . but can the same motor couple to different spindles result in different hp rating?

I've only look on the partnumbers from the motor in the sparepartlist.
In the list is the lincoln 12K Motor for the VM and for the VF, and the Baldor 12K Motor for the VM and for the VF listed.
But I will ask my sparepart specialist for an answer.

The 12K Motors are listed for VM and VF because there are for the VF-SS Inlinedrive. It's not easy to see only in the sparepartlist. I'm sorry, I miss my brain.
