| hey this is great i just found this site tonight in my search for information on a haas VF-OE vertical machining center. I currently have a conventional machine shop primarily focused on repair and we also do small metal fabrication and welding. I am wanting to get a cnc machine for our shop for and in looking for something used i came across a 1998 VF-OE with 1500 hrs on it about 20 x 20 x 30 travels, 20hp, 4th axis complete and a little tooling for about $35000 US. A, is this a good deal presuming good condition and B is this the right machine for a universal capibility in steel alum and stainless with low parts runs and also to build some neat clutch baskets n stuff for my motocross hobby? |

| The universal question, "is this a good deal" That is a good machine, and 1500 hours is very low. $35,000 seems high for a '98 but if it has been taken care of... that is the question. Gary |

| Depends on the used market at the time.. i have bought similar machines for as little as 19k but lately haven't found any for under 35k so its a good deal if its in great condition otherwise its just the going rate. The real deal is if you can pay for it without going out of buisness and use the hell out of it. Make some money ect ect.
