The title says it all. I was curious to know if this could be done. I don't want to be the first to try it and risk damage. There is a legitimate reason to ask. My phone (Droid) will act as a USB drive. If it can connect to the mill safely then it might be able to store and transfer gcode. So, has anyone tried this? Fred |

| I haven't tried it, don't have a Haas mill. Supplied voltage is between 4.75 V and 5.25 V for USB. Unless they used a usb port with different voltage you won't blow anything up. Though I don't see any reason why a company would use a USB port with non-standard voltage. |

| I'm more worried about amps. A phone with its display and battery will draw a lot more than a flash drive. Anyway, my boss nixed the idea, so somebody else will have to be the Guinea pig. |
