Haas VF3 way covers and wipers

Hi all, this is my first post. We have a Haas VF3 machine at my workplace and one of the way cover seals or wipers, if that is in fact what they're called, has come loose to the point where chips can get under the way cover. We're currently trying to decide whether to have a Haas repairman come fix it, or if we should just replace the seal ourselves. Does anyone have any experience with this? How difficult and how much time will replacing a wiper ourselves be?

    Hello my freinds

I'm a new guy - and would like to say hello to e'ryone.

As of your Hass problem, I suggest you to buy the wiper and replace by yourself. I do the same way in my corp. so far. We also can fix some deformed cover and it always work very good.

If you need more infos, please email to me : duongbtp@gmail.com.

Hope you can fix the problems

    Rgds,

It's not too hard to do at all if it's the fixed wiper on the Y axis along the column. A little bit challenging if it's on the X axis or the Y in front in the telescoping covers.
I did both myself and they worked fine.
